Nothing makes us happier than seeing the success of our alumni, and ultimate.ai sure is a story that has been a pleasure to follow. The startup announced this week that they have raised an incredible amount of $20 million in Series A funding. The startup’s mission is to empower brands to drive better customer experiences through automation.
The company based both in Helsinki and Berlin is building the world’s leading virtual customer agent and is already relied upon big corporates such as Deezer, Telia, and Finnair. According to Reetu Kauniainen, CEO and co-founder of ultimate.ai, businesses today are looking for better service automation solutions to replace the ineffective chatbots. The startup offers an AI-first solution that automates up to 80% of support interactions, freeing agents from repetitive requests for more complex and consultative customer queries. The uniqueness of their ‘no-code’ solution lies in its full language-agnostic technology. The platform currently powers customer interactions in over 20 languages, without an additional translation layer. Ultimate.ai’s solution lets companies easily import existing customer support logs so the platform can analyze and build a useful bot based on that data. The virtual agent can for example talk with the customers, manage tickets, and work in back-office systems.
The funding round was led by OMERS Ventures with participation from Felicis Ventures and existing investors HV Capital and Maki.vc. The funding will go towards sales and marketing as well as into further product development.
